I have been working in the healing field for many years, for many of them I was not consciously aware that I was, in fact, doing this work.
I am a mother of three daughters, and grandmother of 2.5 grandsons (watch this space!) I live in Lakeside with my long-suffering husband, an elderly autocratic cat and an equally elderly dog.
We had some difficult years when my children were very small I joined SASPCAN (SA Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect); I established and ran Fam-Anon (Families Anonymous/Familie Anoniem) based on the 12 step programme. Later I joined Life Line and was peripherally involved in the establishment of Child Line and Safe-Line.
My eldest daughter was diagnosed with dyslexia, and I joined WESCALD (Western Cape Association for Learning Disabilities).
When I was diagnosed with deep depression, I attended the psychiatric outpatient’s dept at Groote Schuur Hospital in Cape Town. This gave me a great deal of understanding and compassion for those who are suffering.
In the early 1990’s I attended a course of Spiritual healing, which I did not particularly enjoy, until I was diagnosed with cancer, and received healing – very successfully. Later I joined a group of spiritual seekers and started developing this way of healing. I wrote down things as I learned them. I was asked to teach others, and so it has grown.
In an attempt to get recognition for those who attended my training courses I explored the possibility of working within the Traditional Healers Council. This was futile but exposed me to great wisdom. Later I explored a Shamanic journey with a powerful teacher, which provided the opportunity to expand tremendously.
More recently I worked as a volunteer healer in Red Cross Hospital and Constantiaberg. I am passionately devoted to bridging the gap between Allopathic and Complementary medicine.
