Through consultation and regular application of the AURA-SOMA® colour products this non-intrusive "Window of the Soul" approach helps with self-acceptance and integration by inducing a destressing and balancing effect upon, and communicative flow within your subtle energy fields and chakra system. Whether you are simply feeling a little "off-colour", or seeking personal growth, AURA-SOMA® provides the key to enlightening yourself.

Practitioners are trained to translate the colour sequence selected by the client, learning to understand the universal language of colour and its bridging connections and applications to many other systems. Bowen Technique

The Bowen Technique is a soft tissue bodywork which is safe for all ages, effective for a wide variety of conditions and cost effective as few treatments are needed unless the condition is a long standing one.

The treatment consists of a series of light rolling “moves” over specific muscles, tendons or nerve bundles which prompts the body to heal itself

Sessions can last an hour or more and clients are treated lying on a massage couch or seated. Light clothing is usually worn.

Some conditions which respond very well are musculo-skeletal, digestive, respiratory and hormonal imbalances.

Cranio-Sacral therapy

Cranio-Sacral Therapy (CST) is an gentle form of bodywork which evaluates and improves the activity of the craniosacral system.  Anatomically, this system comprises the brain and spinal cord, their surrounding fluids and membranes (the meninges), the bones of the cranium and spine, and the nerves emanating there from.  At the physiological level, this system forms a whole-body communication network of nervous tissues and their hormone rich fluids.

Over the past several decades it has been discovered that, like the respiratory and cardio-vascular systems, the craniosacral system has its own rhythmic pulsation—slow but regular ‘tidal’ waves rolling through the system and reverberating throughout the body.  Indeed, this pulsation is evident in the embryo before it has a heart or lungs.  It is there in sickness and in health.  It is there in a person in coma and in the most hyperactive child.  It is there in all of us mammals and the last pulsation to leave the body in death.  This is the primal breath, the ‘chi’ or ‘life force’ that comes before all else and sets the core parameters for the organism.

And it is palpable!  Tidal fluctuations can be sensed, worked with, followed, shaped, pumped, instilled and channeled.  It can be worked with to reset the internal clocks of the system, to rebalance metabolic cycles and trigger healing in severely traumatised people of all ages.

CST is renouned for its way of working with babies, mothers and youngsters./ It has wide applications in learning disorders, in immune system recovery, and developmental disorders. And so, around the world over the past few decades, thousands of holistically inclined practitioners from many different disciplines have studied and integrated CST into their work.  Many have come to CST because they wanted to work really creatively and safely with children.

The art and science, the healer and the doctor come together in the cranial way, each to the benefit of the other and especially their clients.

Directed Pressure Point Technique

Directed Pressure Point Technique (DPPT) is a wellness profession that recognises the body’s ability and capacity to heal and repair and to maintain itself in a healthy state. Practitioners of DPPT understand that this self-healing process depends on uninterrupted communication between  brain and  body systems, so DPPT is concerned with assisting the body to restore this free flow of information where communication has become blocked or disrupted.

Directed Pressure Point Technique does not try to force the body into ‘alignment’ to fit some preconceived ideas of health. Rather, DPPT practitioners work in harmony with and utilize the body’s capacity to heal, facilitating a process through which the body makes its own changes towards restoring wellbeing, in its own time.

The practice of DPPT does not include diagnosing or treating symptoms of any condition or disease. DPPT is a complementary health technique and does not substitute for any medical attention that may be required.

Elective (short) courses

To qualify as a Natural Health Practitioner, 1200 hours of training are required.  You may choose from the following courses to increase your tuition hours, or to enhance your specialist training. Specialised Kinesiology developed out of the Chiropractic arena. Kinesiologists today are grateful to George Goodheart, known as the Father of Kinesiology for his development work and to John Thie the founder of Touch for Health (still a foundation course for kinesiologists) for creating a system with which to share this amazing body of knowledge. It has evolved into something far greater than just a health-care system .. it is a tool for Truth in the world.

A session with a kinesiologist is called ‘a balance’. The practitioner takes a detailed history of the persons state of health and enquires about the reason for coming. This information forms the basis of the balance. People generally suffer from dis-ease when they are unable to adapt to their situation.  The reason for this inability to adapt, is largely subconcious and therefore very difficult for the involved party to identify. The skill of the kinesiologist is to use the persons body as a means to establish communication with the subconcious.

The intention of the first part of the balance is to obtain a clear line of communication between the musculature of the body and the tester. The process used is called muscle monitoring.  All the cells in our bodies are electrically connected to the neurology in our brain via a spinal chord and CNS (Central Nervous System), so the muscle testing protocol is really testing the brain response to stressors rather than pure muscle strength.  Once this is established the next step is to obtain all the priority information involved with the issue and make the necessary adjustments.

These adjustment techniques have evolved from Applied Kinesiology, Acupressure, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Naturopathy, Homeopathy, Psychology, Chiropractic, Educational philosophies, Massage, principles from energy medicine and quantum physics.    The information is gleaned by observing certain strict lines of enquiry which have developed over the last 40 years and proven to be highly accurate in terms of finding priority areas of concern. The modality is flexible, open ended, completely non-invasive and very powerful at changing a client’s concept of their dis-ease or lack of wellbeing.

Kinesiologists are trained to use this highly accurate method to identify stress on a physical, mental, emotional, chemical, enviromental and/or situational level. Once the stress or stressors have been correctly identified and verified, we use the same technique to find the best, neurologically most appropriate , option/s to apply in order to best assist you, the client, in improving YOUR quality of life.

A Specialised Kinesiologist’s intention is to balance their client in order that they might regain their own optimal state for healing through the removal or reductionof stressors and their effects,  be they emotional, mental, bio-chemical or physical in origin.

Life Alignment

Life Alignment is a series of vibrational energy healing systems including Body Alignment Technique and the revolutionary Vortex Technology, developed by Dr Jeff Levin. Body Alignment is used to facilitate the restoration of balance and harmony between the physical, emotional, mental and causal bodies (auric bodies and physical), thus allowing the return of health to the client.  This is achieved through the identification, location and ultimately the release of negative energy blockages in the various bodies.  It is known that each cell in our body has its own form of energy and when negative emotions are not dealt with, these energy systems are weakened causing our bodies to shutdown or become diseased. The practitioner uses Applied Kinesiology to source the problem, the body guides the practitioner to ask very specific questions about a particular time or event, without having influence from the egotistical mind but rather your higher being.  You are lead to deal with the problem through identifying the negative emotions around that "time" and release them by understanding the life lesson of that particular event. Only once these blockages are sourced and cleared can we begin to heal and our lives become balanced.

Through his many, many years of practice and research, Dr Levin has refined an emotional release process that is deeply effective.  This process, together with the Vortex technology, forms the backbone of all the LA systems. Life Alignment is unique in that it also seeks to address the relationship between the client and the environment in which he/she lives and works. Using Vortex technology to remedy the negative effects of electro magnetic radiations and geopathic stress, LA is a profound tool for healing both the individual and the environment.  Vortex technology is a new spiritual technology that harnesses specific frequencies in the magnetic field produced by magnetic cards.

Shiatsu Disciplines

Shiatsu is a form of bodywork therapy that works on the physical, emotional, and spiritual energy levels of the body to release tension and promote healing on all levels. It originated in Japan, and the term shiatsu means finger pressure. There are various forms of shiatsu, all using the basic technique of applying finger pressure to pressure points on the body (the same ones used in acupuncture) in order to release tension, and balance energy flows and body systems so as to improve or maintain good health. The work is usually done on a mat on the floor. The recipient remains clothed for the treatment.

Namikoshi Shiatsu Therapy is based on antomy and physiology. It works symptomatically using neurmuscular trigger points focussed around areas of pain to release tension in the nervous system, muscles and organs, and to facilitate the body's self healing processess. It includes an emphasis on maintaining health by practising the 5 principles of helath, viz. good diet, elimination, exercise, sleep and laughter.

Body Energy Balance Shiatsu Therapy combines basic shiatsu massage with meridian and acupuncture techniques and shiatsu based oriental diagnosis. Energy (Qi) blockages or deficiencies are released and energy flow balanced, which leaves the recipient relaxed and invigorated.

There is as yet no NHTS endorsed school teaching Body Energy Balance Shiatsu.

Thai Traditional Massage

Thai Yoga Massage or Thai Massage, called Nuard Boran in Thai, is a Healing Art native to Thailand. It comes from Theraveda Buddhism and Buddhist medicine. One does not need to be a Buddhist to practice it. It has its roots in India and made its way to Thailand when Buddhism, Yoga and Aryuveda spread to Asia about 2500 years ago. The name means "Ancient Way of Healing with The Hands”, and is a different technique to western massage.

Thai Yoga and or Thai Massage is a system of movement education (Yoga) based entirely on principles of energy balancing. It works with energy lines (Sen, Lom), Tri-Dosha, and energy centers (Chakra) to create harmony of the Koshas (body, breath, mind, intellect, ego, memory, emotions, and Self). It incorporates elements of mindfulness, gentle rocking, deep stretching, rhythmic compression, Acupressure, massage of the meridian lines, and dynamic yoga Stretches.

Thai Massage is the fourth branch in Traditional Thai Medicine. It is recognized by the government of Thailand as an official Healing System and is practiced within hospitals. The technique can be used for therapeutic purposes to heal numerous specific ailments as well as achieve deep relaxation.

Two types of Thai Massage:

  • Common Thai Massage which uses thumbs, fingers, hand, heel of hand, elbow, arm, knee, foot in the technique.
  •  Royal Thai Massage which uses only hand, mostly thumb and sometimes heel of hand techniques. The receiver does not lie face down.

Wholism Healing

Wholism Healing healing works with the whole body - not just the physical aspects, we look at emotional, mental and spiritual aspects as well, bringing into balance all parts of the individual.  We look at more than just the discomfort, dysfunction and/or disease experienced by the individual, we also look at his/her level of stress, expectations he/she has of self and that others have of him/her.  We look at the part trauma has played or is playing in his/her life, and how this has been managed.  We look at the "baggage" still carried from childhood and how this can still be playing out in the present.   The training is experiential, not theoretical, and the trainee is expected to undergo all that he/she learns.  In this way they will grow their own "toolbox" of experience and when dealing with a client, the practitioner will understand what does and does nor work, and will be able to vary the treatment as and when required.
