Directed Pressure Point Technique (DPPT) is a wellness profession that recognises the body’s ability and capacity to heal and repair and to maintain itself in a healthy state. Practitioners of DPPT understand that this self-healing process depends on uninterrupted communication between brain and body systems, so DPPT is concerned with assisting the body to restore this free flow of information where communication has become blocked or disrupted.
Directed Pressure Point Technique does not try to force the body into ‘alignment’ to fit some preconceived ideas of health. Rather, DPPT practitioners work in harmony with and utilize the body’s capacity to heal, facilitating a process through which the body makes its own changes towards restoring wellbeing, in its own time.
The practice of DPPT does not include diagnosing or treating symptoms of any condition or disease. DPPT is a complementary health technique and does not substitute for any medical attention that may be required.
